The NZTYA is an organisation run by Trailer Yacht enthusiasts from around New Zealand to promote Trailer Yachting as a sport and recreation.

We also assist Squadrons, Clubs and Trailer Yacht Sections of Clubs and Class Associations to co-ordinate Trailer Yachting within their respective memberships. These can include National and intra Island championship events, where owners of many types of trailer yachts can meet and enjoy competition based on our national handicap/rating system.

We provide access for affiliatied sailors to wide coverage, cost-effective trailer yacht insurance, through our association with Crombie Lockwood.

We also provide advice to non-members and answer enquiries from overseas, as well as addressing less obvious matters such as NZ's road transport regulations, foreshore access and marine safety, etc.

Trailer Yachting is a sport which can be enjoyed by families and individuals, as well as those who enjoy the cut and thrust of competitive racing.
